Last month we saw Margareth and Alan taking their goats for a walk again. Margareth kindly sent me a few photographs which are available as a as slideshow here (NOTE - opens in new browser window)
Since the old oil-fired stove in the kitchen packed up working in January we have had a new oil-fired boiler fitted and an extra radiator installed in the kitchen. Malcolm installed a new, more powerful fluorescent light which showed how dingy the decoration had become. So he has now re-decorated the kitchen for us and put in a new worktop where the old stove used to be. Next month we will finish the job off by getting some carpet tiles to cover up the tatty old linoleum flooring. The only problem now is that it is so bright that Maureen needs sunglasses when she is cooking. However, Surrey likes the new, brighter, warmer kitchen and I am sure it will not be long before she takes up residence on top of the new radiator.
We have had some bitterly cold weather lately and the snow arrived a few days ago. There is not a lot, just an inch or two, but it made everywhere look completely different. I took some black & white photographs on the way to church today, colour photographs never really "work" for me when snow is lying. The photographs can be seen as a slideshow here (NOTE - opens in new browser window)
